Notice is hereby given that a Public Vestry Meeting will be held in the Parish church at Holywell at Ten O'clock of the forenoon on Thursday next the 20th day of March 1862 – for the purpose of making the Overseers List, nominating the Assessors of the Land and Assessed Taxes for the ensuing year. The Meeting will then proceed to the ??ing and passing the Surveyors accounts – after which the meeting will proceed to the appointment of Surveyors. The Vestry will then proceed to the appointment of a Person to make out all the rates, Publish all the Parish notices, and attend to the general business of the Parish for the year ensuing.

A Vestry held the 10th January 1828 for the purpose of sorting out the Molecatching in the parish of Holywell c Needing[3] for the term of three years from the 10th January 1828 to the 10th January 1831. The first year he is to have six pounds, the two following years five pounds five shillings a year. The money is to be paid quarterly by the Overseer. The first payment to be made on the 10th April next. John Cave {P1041} of Needingworth agrees to the said agreement.

At the adjourned meeting at the Queens Head at Needingworth William Male {P10979} of Earith came and agreed to take the molecatching for the parish of Holywell c Needingworth for ten years. The first two years he is to have six pounds a year in the two first years and five pounds a year in the other eight years, and he is to receive the money by half yearly payments. The first half year to be paid the 5th September next and the other half year the sixth of March 1830 and so on throughout the agreement. Witness my hand this 5th day of March 1829.

First to live in the House and Premises rent free. To have the Close called Pit Close now in the occupation of Mr Headding {P11008} at six pounds a year. To be allowed £3. 3s. 0d a year for coals and he is not to have any from the Feoffees[11], nor any that may be in the House. The Parish to assist in digging up the Close and to make a fence next (to) Mr. Headdings, and put down a gate. The rent to be paid half yearly. The first half years payment at Midsummer and the other half years at Michaelmas 1832. To leave the fences as good as they were when put into repair by the Parish. He is to have the Workhouse for twelve months if he manages the Workhouse in a proper way. (???) they ought to be used kindly and respectfully. Bedding and a copper are to be found him to wash their linen and clothes in a proper way. To take possession of the Workhouse, Premises and Close at Michaelmas next. The Rates of the Workhouse to be as they are at Bluntisham. He further agrees to take those to Church every Sunday afternoon excepting those who have been always in the habit of going to Meeting. All furniture that have been bought by the Parish he agrees to leave them (h)as he finds them.

Memorandum of an agreement made this 17th day of November between the Surveyors of Holywell and Needingworth and Fisher Webster {P1745} of Needingworth. The said Fisher Webster {P1745} have this day hired by Public Auction a Ground called the Clay pits for the term of seven years from Michaelmas Day 1835 to Michaelmas Day 1842 for the sum of three pounds 15s per year. This rent to be paid half yearly on the 5th day of April and the 11th day of October in every year. The hirer to keep the fences and Gate in good repair and leave them so at the expiration of the said term.

Notice is hereby given that a Vestry Meeting will be held in the Parish Church at Holywell on Thursday next the 16th day of November one thousand eight hundred and forty eight at ten o’clock in the forenoon for the purpose of examining the Valuation of all the property of the said Parish liable to be rated to the relief of the poor and making a Return of the same to the Committee of Justices appointed under the Act of the 8 & 9th of Vict Cap CXI for the purpose of preparing a fair and equal Rate for the County of Huntingdonshire and also to answer other questions relating to the same according to the Order received from the said Justices, which Return is to be made on or before Saturday the 2nd day of December next ensuing and to transact any other business arising to the said Parish that may then and there appear necessary - ["T over" is written here]
