Hello Peter, quite some time since we made contact. I hope you are well. I think I read recently about an application for planning fora development in Lodel Lane area. I remember Harris Crescent the range from Church Street being built the winter of 1947 and work had to stop for some time because of ice and snow. I was sad to hear of death of Tony I met his wife at the Church briefly about a year ago. Have photos of June1945 like so many villages all over the country. Long table for tea party inHigh Street opposite Queens Head lots of children and women most men were still away Mrs Newman and daughter Gertie had a small business selling bric a brac on the corner ofHigh Streetand the lane near Methodist Chapel from a converted railway carriage. I mustn’t take more of your time Hope the aerial photo was ofinterest unique if nothing else. Let might me know of any gaps I might be able to help with best wishes Janet
Thanks Janet,
Unfortunately I am not able to do anything more on my researches at the moment. (If and) When I get back to it, I will be in touch if there is something you can help with.
