Security

This website (hcnhistory.org.uk) has been updated to use “https” and “SSL”, which is becoming more and more necessary these days. Your browser should now say that the site is secure and show a green locked padlock.

It has been a struggle for me to implement, and there may still be issues with it. I plan one day to add a technical post outlining how I solved some of the issues (which involved lots of online searching!)

As part of this I have also needed to upgrade TNG to the latest version. Regular users may notice some changes, but they are not major.

There have been a few other data changes, as I work through all the useful information people have sent me in previous years – for which thanks. However I am aware that several contributors provided a lot of information and I have not yet had sufficient time to analyse and digest this – sorry about that.

There is no need to change how you access the site as it automatically uses https whether you specify it or not, and all bookmarks should still work.
