It has been a struggle for me to implement, and there may still be issues with it. I plan one day to add a technical post outlining how I solved some of the issues (which involved lots of online searching!)
As part of this I have also needed to upgrade to the latest version. Regular users may notices some changes, but they are not major.
There have been a few other data changes, as I work through all the useful information people have sent me in previous years – for which thanks. However I am aware that several contributors provided a lot of information and I have not yet had sufficient time to analyse and digest this – sorry about that.
There is no need to change how you access the site as it automatically uses https whether you specify it or not, and all bookmarks should still work.
TNG stands for The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding by Darrin Lythgoe. It is a software system used by thousands of people worldwide to store and display family trees. I have used it to show information about people, families, and what happened to them. Some of the pages of this website are "TNG" pages (they do not have a sidebar, but they do have a second, thinner menu bar), and others are not.
