This section is about the “project“ to collect, understand and make available everything we can find about the history of Holywell-cum-Needingworth. I have done this partly for my own benefit, partly in case anyone is interested in how it has been done, but mostly in order to encourage participation. Please do contribute if you can, and you will find there are lots of ways to do it.
The project started in 2011 as a result of a little genealogical research done in Chatters (our village community café) on a customer’s behalf. I was hooked!
You can find out about what the project involves, the Project Team, how you can help, and (if you are really interested!) details of the technical side. You can also find some statistics about the people currently held in the website in the system, and about the people currently held in the off-line database, and what is next for the project. More about the project will be added over time to the Project Blog.

TNG stands for The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding by Darrin Lythgoe. It is a software system used by thousands of people worldwide to store and display family trees. I have used it to show information about people, families, and what happened to them. Some of the pages of this website are "TNG" pages (they do not have a sidebar, but they do have a second, thinner menu bar), and others are not.
